Ridiculously cheap, gyros wrap for 2 euros! Really authentic family run restaurant exceptionally good gyros, all very fresh. They do takeaways too for when you only want a quick bite. Fab views

fotisfamily We visited this taverna about eight years ago, it was really good. Disappointingly, this time we were disappointed the food was only average and staff seems a little disinterested. The taverna boasts mention in a magazine in which the film Captain Corelli's Mandolin (filmed on Kefalonia) is featured, however this was several years ago now and it felt like the property and reputation has rode along on this for perhaps a little too long.

fotisfamily his very untidy and shabby restaurant on the side of the beach/car park in Poros is very popular with tourists. We came upon it twice, and determined on the second visit, had to wait till after 3pm for a table for lunch!! Worth waiting for though, with great grills, fish and lovely ice cream. The owners speak great English, are very friendly, and the bill was under 20 euros for 2 for lunch including 2 mains beers, and ice cream. Bargain.

We found this place on a drive out. It had only locals eating there and I can see why now! We had so much fresh food and it was so cheap! I highly recommend the gyros portion.
fotisfamily In questo posto mi sono sentito come a casa. Fotis Family è un posto speciale (i proprietari ed i loro figli riservano un sorriso ad ogni visitatore). Le zeppoline fritte ricoperte di miele (lukumates) sono una leccornia per i golosi. Ottime le alici fritte ed il giros pita accompagnato da una buona insalata greca....concedetevi una birra servita nel bicchiere ghiacciato... la vista mare ed il canto di una cicala faranno il resto. Se cercate una buona cucina questo è il posto per voi.

This is an unspoiled, old fashioned family grill just like I used to go to when I was young and which I loved so much.

They do delicious tzatziki, pittas, souvlaki, loukoumi, fish, home cooked dishes and chips to die for. Salads and wines are fresh and tasty.

It is sat right on the end of the beach overlooking the sea.

It is a very modest set up and totally unpretentious - a refreshing change! The Fotis Family are proud of their cooking and are very welcoming and attentive.

This little taverna serves all my favorite foods just the way I like them. It is one of the children's favorites too.

If only every lovely beach had one of these.

We never miss a visit when we are in Poros. Highly recommended if you like authentic Greek food.

It's very popular so choose your time carefully. You will not be disappointed.
fotisfamily Заехали в Порос и решили покушать. Зашли в семейную таверну на набережной. Давно хотели попробовать греческие пончики с мёдом- Лукумадес. В других тавернах этого блюда не было. Принесли большую тарелку горячих пончиков с мёдом и мороженым и кофе фредо-капучино. Всё было очень вкусным!!! А кофе один из лучших на острове! Очень внимательные и доброжелательные хозяева. Рекомендую покушать в этой таверне с прекрасным видом на Ионическое море.
fotisfamily nella piazza di poros, a cefalonia, vi e' questa taverna tipica in cui poter mangiare giros (simile al kebab ma di maiale e con un pane molto buono tipico) a 2 euro, piatti enormi di carne alla griglia e insalate. tutto praticamente sulla spiaggia. ti senti in Grecia tra greci.
fotisfamily Ottima taverna, con terrazza sul mare. Ottimo cibo e a prezzo onesto.I dolci fantastici tutti fatti da loro.I proprietari ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa. Abbiamo mangiato qui tutte le sere del nosro soggiorno a Cefalonia. Dopo una giornata nelle affollate spiagge dell'isola era bello stare in quest'angolo di pace e tranquillità che è Poros e il Fotis Family.

fotisfamily Siamo stati io e la mia fidanzata a pranzo in questa caratteristica taverna greca direttamente sulla spiaggia, attirati dalla atmosfera greca e dalla bellissima terrazza!
Abbiamo preso due pite: giros e di pollo, buonissime e a prezzo irrisoreo (2euro) Consigliato!!!

fotisfamily Posto carino, letteralmente sul mare. Cucina tipica greca. Piatti saporiti, porzioni abbondanti e il tutto ad un buon prezzo!
2 gyros (piatto completo), una moussaka, una bottiglia di vino (robola), acqua, pane e burro : 30€.
E a fine pasto ci hanno offerto delle frittelline al miele!

fotisfamily Abbiamo pranzato e cenato in questa locanda diverse volte avendo la camera a Poros e ci siamo sempre trovati molto bene. Il posto è molto caratteristico, tipica locanda greca anche abbastanza datata, servizio e cucina alla buona ma in un posto del genere non ci si può aspettare di più. Il tutto compensa con un'ottima posizione sul mare e una bella vista sullo Ionio. Menù molto vario, gustoso, abbondante ed economico. Pita buonissima, ottime insalate e abbondante grigliata mista. Eccezionale il loro dolce tipico Katlaifi e Baclava! La proprietaria è molto gentile, disponibile e simpatica, dopo poco ci sentivamo parte della famiglia! Molto consigliato!

I have been visiting Poros for 15 years and each year we have eaten at the Fotis Family Grill house. I cannot recommend it highly enough, the food is amazing, the atmosphere incredible, and the view stunning. Over the years the Fotis family have introduced me to a lot of traditional Greek dishes and each year they surprise me with something new. Whether it is a quick lunch or a special evening meal that you are looking for this restaurant must be on your shortlist.

fotisfamily Un pranzo veloce ma soddisfacente: la pita è ottima e i prezzi contenuti. Molto carina la posizione direttamente sul mare.
fotisfamily Uno di quelle taverne greche che prima mangi e solo dopo aver finito vai in bagno passando dalla cucina.....la pulizia e l'ordine non è il loro forte, in tutta la Grecia, cmq posizionato sul mare, ottimo menù finalmente corredato di codice wifi, per ora ottime insalate e pita gyros delizioso( €.2)
fotisfamily We make sure we visit here very time we are on Kefalonia. their Gyros pittas are tasty and full of chicken salad, chips and tzatziki.

fotisfamily Volevo mangiare un buon gyros per pranzo e ci sono decisamente riuscito! Uno dei migliori che abbia mai mangiato in grecia!!
Abbiamo mangiato in 2: 2 gyros e 2 birre e abbiamo speso 7,60 €.
Per il resto il locale ha una bella vista, il personale è gentile e si sente la conduzione familiare.
Assolutamente da provare!

fotisfamily Leuk restaurant op een unieke plek. een beetje eenvoudig maar wel schoon. En heerlijk eten ! een vriendelijke bediening door de familie, die je ook herkend als je vorig jaar ook geweest bent. Je voelt je meteen weer thuis. Aan te raden.

fotisfamily affacciato sulla bellissima spiaggia di poros, il fotis family è un bar/ristorante caratteristico e piacevole. eravamo in due e abbiamo preso un'insalata greca e una coppa di gelato - € 16,00..consigliato!

fotisfamily Abbiamo mangiato qui a settembre 2013. Si tratta di una classica taverna greca situata a Poros nella piazza principale proprio sul mare. Ha tavolini all'aperto sotto una veranda. Come un po' tutte le taverne greche , ha una conduzione familiare e di fatto l'intera famiglia Fotis oltre che gestire il locale parnza insieme ai clienti. Mia figlia ha fatto amicizia con il figlio dei proprietario Fotis, e hanno giocato insieme tutta la sera. Buono il cibo, il servizio e prezzi allineati con i locali della zona.
fotisfamily Piccola taverna a poros a 10 metri dal mare. Gestione familiare in un atmosfera molto tranquilla ed accogliere. Ottimo gyros!

fotisfamily Siamo stati a mangiare da poros 2 sere di fila. Molto disponibili con i bambini, si mangia discretamente nella terrazza direttamente sul mare ..... Ottimi prezzi. Lo consiglio...

fotisfamily Nella piazza centrale di Poros una vecchia taverna un po' malandata esteriormente, con una bella veranda con vista spettacolare sul mare.Piatti semplici e gustosi, atmosfera rilassata grazie alla gentilissima proprietaria.Da scoprire
